Beat Poet Beat-Down!

It's the 50th anniversary of the publication of Allen Ginsberg's "Howl," and James Bowman lays on the hurt here.

But what...[Ginsberg]...really means by the child-devouring monster [Moloch] is the ordinary responsibilities of adult life, from which he, like his successors in the pursuit of sex, drugs and rock ā€˜n’ roll, remained in headlong flight all his life.

Now that's poetry.
